Program Manager
The Program Manger is a key member of the Rush Center for Excellence in Aging (CEA). This position focuses on the management of all Center deliverables including a Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Geriatric Workforce Enhancement Program grant and management of the CEA core activities. This position exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values, and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists the Center Directors in assuring completion of all Center deliverables.
- Supervises the Program Coordinator.
- Oversees the coordination and planning of all CEA activities.
- Oversees Center websites and newsletter.
- Manages the Center’s Learning Management System.
- Assists with the submission of related grant proposals.
- Supports management of Center finances.
- Works with the evaluator to collect and report on key required metrics.
- Conducts literature scans to keep informed of relevant aging work.
- Participates in local, regional, and national conferences on behalf of the Center.
- Represents the Center at relevant meetings and community events.
- Perform other related assignments as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, psychology, social work, public health, gerontology, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Five or more years of experience in administrative or program coordination work preferred.
Skills and abilities:
- Flexibility to accommodate changing tasks and program needs.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, and social media platforms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to details.
- Strong organizational and coordination skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of multi-functional, multi-organizational teams.
- Ability to think critically and creatively.
